The 10 Components of Improving Your Job Search Success:
If you join this group, these are the results you can expect:
- You’ll be exposed to a new way to view your job search process, so that it feels easier and less stressful. You’ll find that you can be more yourself and increase your ability to attract job opportunities that fit for you.
- You'll gain clarity about the type of work you really want (the kind of work that excites and energizes you), rather than the kind of work you’ll “settle” for.
- You’ll understand the elements of a successful job search, so you can make sure you’re doing all the things that will increase your chances of landing a job that truly fits for you.
- You’ll learn who you need on your job search team – and who needs to be to let go – so you feel encouraged and supported.
- You’ll open up to more proactive ways to find jobs, and learn how to make networking more natural. You’ll almost certainly find it easier to connect to people who can help you find the work you want.
- You’ll discover how to use your innate passion and enthusiasm in a way that fuels and informs your entire job search process, from start to finish.
- You’ll understand when to put your energy into applying for a specific job and when to seek other opportunities instead. And, when you do apply, you’ll know how to demonstrate why you’re such a good match, and how you can strategically benefit an organization.
- You’ll know what to do to create resumes and cover letters that clearly and concisely explain who you are and what you can provide to an employer you’d love to work for. This makes it much easier for hiring managers to know they need to contact you. And perhaps for the first time, people will really start to get who you are. You'll generate interest and attention at a whole new level.
- You’ll have a plan of action for what to say in interviews, so you know how to position your skills, talents and abilities in a compelling way that really connects with the hiring manager
- You won’t have to do your job search alone! You’ll be supported by others who are like you – positive, encouraging, and motivated to find work that fits them, from within. We’ll celebrate your successes – large and small. And, we’ll help you deal with the excitement that you feel about a job opportunity - whether it works out or not -- so you can put things in perspective and stay upbeat.
What the Job Search Gym™
program provides
What makes this work so powerful is the magic of the group. In addition to your expert job search coach, Susan Bernstein, you’ll have a structure of support through your fellow “gym members.” Together, you and your group members participate in the teleclasses and on the web board, giving each other input on weekly assignments, offering resources, sharing feedback, and providing encouragement.
You no longer need to feel like you're going through your job search process all alone. And you’ll end up getting valuable ideas, information, and connections for your job search that you can only get from a group.
The structure of the
Job Search Gym™ program:
When you sign up for this 10-session program, you’ll get:
- 10 weekly one-hour teleclass sessions. The calls are conducted through a telephone bridge line which you can access from anywhere in the world (we will have participants from all over the country and overseas as well). You’ll receive the dial-in number upon acceptance to the program, and you’ll be responsible for any applicable long-distance charges.
- You’ll join 20 to 30 other participants in your group, a size that encourages interaction and allows personal attention. Each call will feature a 30- to 45-minute presentation on a topic about job search, followed by time for questions. During the calls, you’ll get ideas, resources and support to help you take your job search to the next level. On selected calls, a few participants will have the opportunity to be selected to have their materials – such as resumes and cover letters -- critiqued by Susan Bernstein.
- You’d pay $1950 to do this coaching with me privately, so this is a savings of $1325, or over 70% off the price of individual coaching.
- Recordings of the teleclasses. You always have the information, in case you miss a session. And, you can listen again at your convenience, to refresh what you’ve learned whenever you want.
- Weekly handouts and assignments help you to reinforce what you learn on each call. It will be your responsibility to do these assignments, so you keep moving forward. That’s just like going to the gym – you have to get yourself there. During the calls, you can ask questions to clarify the assignments for your particular situation.
- Two inspirational emails per week. You’ll automatically get these emails each week! They’re designed to complement the weekly teleclasses. You’ll get twenty doses of energy to fuel your job search. Think of this encouragement as having a personal job search trainer.
- Access to the Job Search Gym™ web board. This is the way to meet your fellow job seekers in the program. You can send in your weekly assignment to all the other members of the group, via our private online web board, to get feedback and maintain your momentum.
- The web board provides a gathering place to share your successes, get feedback on your job search process, and get support when you need it. Think of it as a gym that’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your coach, Susan Bernstein, will stop by at least three times a week to answer your questions.
- The support of the group can be truly invaluable!
- A “workout” buddy. Having a buddy is optional. This program gives you the opportunity to be paired up with another group member who can help keep you accountable, encouraged, and clear about what you want during your job search.

This program is a TREMENDOUS value. Honestly, this experience is easily worth between $3,450 and $4,950. I can offer you this program at this rate because it is a group coaching experience. That means you get not only the best of me, your coach, Susan Bernstein, but you also get to be around other caring, supportive professionals who want to land jobs that really fit for them. Like you, they want the tools and encouragement that makes it easier to actually get those jobs.
Wondering about making the investment?
Think about this: What is it costing you to stay stuck and
unsure at any point in your job search? How much would you
invest to have a coach who motivates and educates you to keep moving forward in a positive
direction? If you've been stalled out or...dare I say...procrastinating...what
would it be worth to you to have for 10 weeks of support for
staying focused, directed and motivated as you search for work
that really fits you?
Is the Job Search Gym™
program right for you?
As you can see, this is a powerful, comprehensive, supportive program. You should only consider joining if you are ready to break out of your comfort zone and take your job search skills to a whole new level. You’ll get the best results in the group if...
1. You are a professional with five or more years of working experience, and you are ready for and seeking a job that allows you to be a strategic problem solver in an organization. This program is especially helpful for people seeking middle- to senior-level positions in the functional areas of marketing, consulting, finance, accounting, human resources, and operations. These can be jobs in companies, as well as with non-profits and socially-responsible enterprises. Upcoming and recent MBA graduates can benefit substantially.
The Job Search Gym is great for stay-at-home moms (and dads!)
who are returning to the workplace after some time away. The program is
very beneficial for people who are changing industries or functions, provided they have some transferable skills for their target industry and/or function.
Please note: Currently, the group is not open to:
- new college graduates (FYI: We're
developing a new program tailored to recent college grads.

- people with less than three years of working experience
- those in highly technical or administrative jobs.
The program is inappropriate for engineers who are staying in a technical role, but would be more appropriate for engineers moving into marketing, product development roles, or other strategic business roles.
2. You feel passionate about the job you’re seeking. It's not just something a way to make money. You are committed to your personal growth, and enhancing your work is a part of your path.
3. You are action-oriented and a self-starter. If you're waiting around for someone to find your resume online, or if you take months to think something through, then this group will frustrate you. During the program, you’ll be challenged to something new every week, as you test out new ways to attract job possibilities that fit you.
4. You take a positive approach – to yourself and the other group participants. In the Job Search Gym™, we encourage others, rather than break them down. If you join us, it’s because you want to be part of a supportive community, and you agree to treat yourself and others with respect. You can be honest with other participants, using a spirit of empathy and care. To provide that support, you agree to spend at least 15 minutes a week writing positive, insightful postings to other group members on the web board.
5. You're willing to experiment and be persistent. Even as you follow our proven principles and strategies, please know that the job search is part art, part science. Some things you try will work – others will not. You’re willing to do some trial and error, and can tolerate uncertainty – with the group’s support.
6. You experience your life and career as an adventure. You’ll have more fun and better results at the Job Search Gym™ if you approach this workout with a great deal of energy, rather than being overly serious. You'll enjoy much better results if you're exercising your job search muscle not only to win, but to grow.

Details of the next Job Search Gym™
program
New Job Search Gym™ programs take place regularly. We start up new 10-week programs approximately every two months. Please
send us a note if you're interested in knowing the next dates,
and we'll get back to you with information on the programs that are currently available.
Is the program guaranteed?
Yes, with a caveat. It’s like a gym membership. You can’t get in shape if you don’t do the work outs.
Here’s the guarantee. The Job Search Gym program is about you taking positive action to land the type of job you really want. If you attend 9 of the 10 teleclasses, thoroughly complete all the assignments and post them to the web board for feedback within five days of each teleclass, and still do not feel that you have achieved the 10 results outlined at the top of this page, you can ask for a full or partial refund. If you do not attend the sessions and do not complete the assignments, the only guarantee is that this program will not work for you!
